At my great age, and after owning seven different houses it should be easy to choose the right flooring material. you would think.  But I have still managed to make some duff decisions recently. Because there is a lot of Laminate Flooring in my current house I chose to put ceramic tiles in the kitchen.  The builder put me off, because of the reputation that Cheap laminate Flooring is very bad in areas where water is likely to be spilt.  So I was persuaded in favour of ceramic instead. But if you buythe good quality stuff and make sure that it is a professional who is Laying laminate flooring then  it does the job well.  Sure, ceramic tiles are waterproof but they are also cold and they make the room quite echoey as well.  In future I am going to be Fitting laminate flooring in my kitchen for its combination of strength and warmth.
